I love the mix of geometry with nature inspiration as baby boy nursery ideas. Design a timeless and classic baby boy nursery by going with a black and white palette. Here the black boys nursery with it's sleek lines and minimalist style makes a bold statement yet feels so approachable. For example, you can choose muted tones or use bold colors such as red or blue to give your boy or girl a more masculine or feminine look. You can also mix and match neutral colors with trendy pampas grass or wood furniture. What would a boy's nursery room be without a little blue?
We've put together this list to help expecting parents get some good ideas of all the design options out there for a boy nursery room. While compact nurseries might seem small, with some careful furniture arrangement, they can provide plenty of space for a growing baby. It also frees up room for a larger crib or a more comfortable armchair. The type of wall covering a nursery uses typically depends on the overall design of the room. Parents who want a more subtle look may stick to matte paint, perhaps with colorful accents to add some aesthetic interest. For a more popping look, you can find wallpaper designs with colorful shapes and patterns that appeal to an infant’s developing sense of vision.

How can I decorate my baby boy's nursery?
We love how Morgan decorated her brand new baby boy David’s space simply with neutrals, allowing the minimalistic dune decal to really shine. I wanted to show you this space as well because I think it's another gorgeous example of taking a classic theme and putting a modern twist on it. They accomplished this by choosing pieces that are modern such as the table, the wall art and the toy bins. Notice how they hung the frames horizontally over the crib and on the wall to the left of the crib they have another grouping that creates a square. Above the crib they have chosen black and white animal prints by Kate and Laurel. To do this choose three to four large prints that are the same theme and group them together.
Don’t forget to include a colorful bean bag chair or inspired artwork. Sparkling nightlights compliment any nursery theme well. They will help light up the room as your boy drifts off to sleep. This rustic design will bring out the cowboy in your baby boy.
Pick a Few Colors of the Rainbow
You don’t have to stick to the traditional themes that you always see. So, my first piece of advice to help make the process a little less overwhelming is to pick one thing that's going to be the central focus of his room. Then with that in mind you can make selections like, your boy nursery bedding and nursery wall decor that compliment that one thing. I've even included baby boy room ideas for small spaces. Plus, I'll let you know where you can score all the stuff to pull off the look.

The whites and light colors of the room combined with that light give the room a breezy, open feeling. Capped off with a play tent, rocking horse, rocking crib, and changing table, the room is a perfect expression of a bright boy's nursery room. This room uses an ashy gray theme as the dominant décor but we love the fun splash of color on the walls with the framed portraits.
The brushed nickel sputnik style chandelier is a fabulous addition to this modern nursery. If you love the look of a cool statement piece in baby's room, but can't part ways with your Scandi-chic color palette, don't fret. It's just as easy to find structural pieces and artsy decor that abide by muted tones—just look at the wooden bead chandelier and the hidden rabbit lamp. When you traditionally think of boy nursery themes, blue is usually the color that comes to mind. Just because you are decorating a boys' nursery doesn't mean you've got to go with blue. Instead, pick a color palette for the nursery that you naturally gravitate towards.
Think Outside the CribThe Harlow crib also has a toddler conversion kit available so that it can grow with baby. Wallpaper, bedding, drapes, or wall art are all easy ways to make this happen. With a little one on the way, you might be itching to get their soon-to-be sleeping situation all squared away.
Keep half the wall white or very neutral and pick a gorgeous contrasting shade for the other half. Vintage baby rooms are a fun way to flex your love of a particular period in history or just an excuse to go antiquing and put something unique together. Take a cue from this adorable London themed nursery for Baby boy that totally drives the theme home without veering into over-the-top territory. Elegant White and beige overtones along with design elements such as a chandelier and a patterned rug help to complete the Victorian style of this nursery.
They incorporate the basic color scheme of blue and white, nautical or marine motifs, and decorative accents. This look is a great way to keep the decor simple but still elegant. You can use colors from the sea to create a nautical theme without feeling cluttered. They chose navy as the primary color for contrast against the white in the room. OurBlue Linen Crib Sheet, made of eco-friendly linen, is encased in the modern crib alongside a friendly giraffe with one very long neck!
Animal-themed baskets, cutouts, and stuffed animals really give the room a kid feeling. The room is brightened up from the large windows and the lighter furniture helps open up a room that could turn too dark. Antique furniture, unfinished woods, and a traditional crib give this nursery a quaint country feel. Light blue accents and animal decor make the otherwise somber room more toddler-friendly. While this design is relatively minimalistic, it combines a variety of elements to create a visually stimulating forest scene. Grey overtones contrast with bright blues, oranges, and whites to create a unique yet attractive color scheme.
